Trade Caddy vs Jobber: Pricing and Features Compared (2026)

September 2, 2026

A straight comparison of Trade Caddy and Jobber pricing in 2026, including which plan you need for route optimization and QuickBooks sync, and what extra users cost.

Jobber is the most recognised name in field service software, and for good reason. It is mature, well supported, and used by tens of thousands of businesses. If you are comparing it to Trade Caddy, the difference is not really about features. It is about how the two are priced, and specifically about what you have to pay to get route optimization.

The short version

Jobber sells four tiers. Trade Caddy sells one. That single difference drives almost everything else in this comparison.

Where the two are the same

Worth being clear about this before the differences, because a comparison that invents advantages is not worth reading.

Jobber includes online booking and quoting on Core, the same $49 entry tier we sit at. So does Trade Caddy. If those are what you are shopping for, the two are level on price and you should choose on how they feel to use rather than on this table.

The differences show up on exactly two features, and they happen to be the two that matter most to a recurring-route business: accounting sync and routing.

Route optimization is the whole story

Both products start at $49 a month. That looks like a tie, and it is, right up until you need the feature that actually saves a lawn crew time.

On Jobber, route optimization first appears on the Grow plan. Month-to-month that is $299/mo, or $149/mo if you commit to a year up front. On Trade Caddy it is in the $49 plan, because there is only one plan.

This matters more in lawn care than in most trades. If you are running fifteen or twenty stops a day, the order you drive them in is not a nice-to-have, it is the difference between finishing at four and finishing at six. Putting that behind a tier means the operators who would benefit most from it are the ones least likely to be paying for it.

QuickBooks sync is the other one

Jobber puts QuickBooks Online sync on Connect, $139/mo month-to-month or $99/mo on annual billing. Trade Caddy includes it at $49.

For anyone who does their own books this is a weekly time cost rather than a feature preference. Either invoices land in QuickBooks on their own or you re-enter them, and re-entering them is an evening a month you do not get back.

Add the two together and the plan you actually need at Jobber, if you want both routing and accounting sync, is Grow at $299/mo month-to-month. That is the comparison that matters: $49 against $299 for the same two capabilities.

What extra users cost

Jobber charges $29/mo for each additional user. Trade Caddy charges $10.

For a three person crew that is a $58/mo difference on seats alone, before you get to which tier you are on. For a solo operator it is nothing, which is worth saying plainly: if you work alone and do not need route optimization or QuickBooks, Jobber Core at $49 and Trade Caddy at $49 are the same price, and you should pick on feel rather than cost.

Where Jobber is genuinely the better choice

A comparison that says the other product is worse at everything is not worth reading, so here is where Jobber wins outright.

  • It has been around far longer and has the support organisation, documentation, and integration library that comes with that.
  • If you are a larger operation with fifteen users, its Plus tier is built for you in a way a single flat plan is not.
  • Its client hub, marketing tools, and reporting are deeper than ours.
  • It has a large community. If you get stuck at 9pm, someone has written about your problem already.

Where Trade Caddy is the better choice

  • You want route optimization without paying $299/mo for it.
  • You have a crew, and $29 per seat per month adds up faster than you would like.
  • You would rather not spend an evening working out which tier you are supposed to be on.
  • You want to try it properly first. Trade Caddy is 30 days with no credit card, so nothing happens automatically at the end.

About these numbers

Everything here comes from each company's own published pricing page, not from a review site. Software pricing moves, and plan contents move with it, so check theirs before you decide anything. If something below is out of date, it is a mistake rather than a sales tactic, and it will be corrected.

This comparison covers list pricing and what is included at each tier. It does not attempt to rank the software itself. Every one of these products is used successfully by real businesses.

Try it against your own route

The honest way to settle this is not a comparison table, it is your own customer list. Trade Caddy is $49/mo flat, $10/mo per additional user, with a 30-day free trial and no credit card to start. Put a week of real jobs in it and see whether it holds. If it does not, you have lost a week and no money. If it does, you know what you are switching from and exactly what it costs.
