Trade Caddy and Markate compared on 2026 pricing, including Markate's per-employee model and its add-on menu, and what each one includes in the base price.
Markate targets small cleaning, handyman, and lawn care businesses, and it leans harder on marketing automation than most tools in this category. Its base price is low. The thing to look at is what sits outside that base.

Base price is not the same as bill
Markate's per-employee rate is genuinely low, lower than ours. If seats were the only variable it would win on price for most crews.
The difference is the add-on menu. Features that sit inside the Trade Caddy base price are priced separately there, and the number you end up paying depends on which ones you turn on. That is not a criticism, it is a different philosophy: pay only for what you use, versus pay one price and stop thinking about it.
Which you prefer is genuinely a matter of taste. If you like knowing your bill will not move, one flat price is easier to live with. If you use very little of a platform, an add-on model can be cheaper.
Where Markate is genuinely the better choice
- You want the built-in marketing automation, email campaigns, and review requests, which are more developed than ours.
- You have several employees and the per-employee rate matters more than the base.
- You only need a narrow slice of features and would rather not pay for the rest.
Where Trade Caddy is the better choice
- You want route optimization and QuickBooks sync in the base price.
- You would rather have one predictable number than a configurable one.
- You want to try the entire product for 30 days without a card.
About these numbers
Everything here comes from each company's own published pricing page, not from a review site. Software pricing moves, and plan contents move with it, so check theirs before you decide anything. If something below is out of date, it is a mistake rather than a sales tactic, and it will be corrected.
This comparison covers list pricing and what is included at each tier. It does not attempt to rank the software itself. Every one of these products is used successfully by real businesses.

Try it against your own route
The honest way to settle this is not a comparison table, it is your own customer list. Trade Caddy is $49/mo flat, $10/mo per additional user, with a 30-day free trial and no credit card to start. Put a week of real jobs in it and see whether it holds. If it does not, you have lost a week and no money. If it does, you know what you are switching from and exactly what it costs.
